Bad joke, they aren’t rhyming.

Productivity is something I never compromise upon.

Though I spent one grand buying a MacBook (and its native apps), I still spend a few dozens every month on apps that get my work done faster.

That’s how important my time and energy is to me.

Today, let’s talk about a new productivity app for macOS — Fover. Though not revolutionary, it’s still a handy app for people who create, move, or download a lot of files.

The app speeds up file moving.

It’s similar to the “shelf” apps — Dropzone, Dropover, and Yoink — but with a few key differences.

To put it short, the whole moving process has three steps:

  1. Drag the files into Fover’s menubar icon
  2. Search for the destination folder in the Spotlight-like UI
  3. Click “Move/Copy”

It also has a few additional features that make the whole process even faster without involving Finder:

  • Tracked Folders: Use them for quicker moving of downloaded files and screenshots without dragging. (Suggestions: Desktop & Downloads)

  • Rename Files and Folders while in the shelf.

  • Rename Destination Folders or Create New Ones before moving.

  • Smart Search: Checks not only a folder name but also its path.
  • Quick Look: You knew it — Preview files from tracked folders by hitting spacebar.
  • Navigate to Subfolders and Parent Folders: By clicking on arrowhead or on the path name in search results.

  • Drag Folders: From other apps, like email attachments, images from the web, and selected text.
  • Recent Folders: For quick access to the most frequently used destination folders.

With the free version of Fover, you can move upto 2 files at once. If you pay its dev Daniel for his work, you can escape the limitations.

It costs $5 a year or $18 for lifetime license.

Now guess what?
I’m giving away a bunch of Fover license keys. Free!
